If he can save a client $45,000 a year, he charges somewhere between $15K and $22K for the implementation — a 3 to 10X return on investment. He frames it that way explicitly to every client upfront. Things he used to charge $2K for, he now charges $10K for. Same work. Different framing. That shift in how you talk about your offer changes everything. He also refuses to take on projects under $2,000. Small projects bring small clients, and small clients are a headache. Once you know that, you stop taking the bait.
