Results Are Guaranteed, Timing Is Not

Here's a concept that changed how I think about building wealth: results are always guaranteed. Timing is not.

Want a billion dollars? That result is theoretically achievable. The problem is that for some people it takes 10 years. For others, it takes a thousand years—longer than they'll ever be alive. The result was always possible. They just ran out of time.

This is why timing is everything.

The Present Value of Results

In finance, there's a concept called the present value of money. A million dollars today is worth more than a million dollars a year from now. That's not opinion—it's math.

The same logic applies to building a business. Making a million dollars over 30 years isn't impressive. That's poverty. Making a million dollars in a month? That's a different story entirely. Same result. Completely different time scale.

So the real question isn't whether you'll get there. It's how fast.

Compress the Inputs, Compress the Results

Every business result comes from business inputs: how many leads you're reaching out to, how many people are visiting your site, how many sales calls are getting booked. That's obvious.

So if you want to compress results, you have to compress the volume of inputs.

This brings me to a concept I call an instance.

An instance is a snapshot of your business at any given moment—your offer, your lead list, your outreach script, your sales process, your VSL, your close rate. Every variable that makes up your business exists at some state. That combination, in that moment, is an instance.

Now here's the key insight: there exists some instance where you make a million dollars a month. It's real. Some specific combination of actions, offers, and systems will produce that result. Maybe it's one in ten thousand. But it exists.

Some people stumble into a great instance by luck. Most don't—because they never test enough of them.

The solution is simple: test instances absurdly fast. Run a ton of different offers. Test different cold outreach scripts against different lead lists. Iterate on your VSL. Keep ramming new combinations into reality until you hit the one that works. Every new instance is another shot at the one in ten thousand. The person who tests the most instances wins.

Every Millionaire I Know Has This Trait

If you want to test instances faster, you need capabilities. You need to know how to build offers, run ads, write copy, close calls. And most people don't—which limits how fast they can iterate.

This is why every single millionaire I've ever met has one trait in common. No exceptions. That trait is agency.

Agency is the ability to handle a wide range of tasks and situations. I'd describe it more bluntly: it's figure-it-the-f**k-out ability.

It's not that you know how to solve every problem. It's that you know how to figure out how to solve every problem. Someone else already solved whatever you're dealing with. You can learn to code. You can learn to build a funnel. You can learn to run a sales call. None of this is blocked off from you.

The people who accumulate the most knowledge over time—because they consistently figure things out instead of quitting—are the ones who make all the money. It really is that simple.

Certainty vs. Uncertainty

As an entrepreneur, you live in uncertainty. You're constantly taking risks on things you've never done before. And humans, by default, prefer the certainty of failure over the uncertainty of success. We crave answers. We hate not knowing.

But here's the thing: you don't have to stay in uncertainty.

Because other people have already done what you're trying to do. Every problem you'll ever encounter has already been solved by someone. If you have access to those people and can ask them directly, you can skip the uncertainty entirely. You get the answer. You move.

That's not luck. That's a decision.

Asymmetrically Efficient Decisions

I want to introduce one more concept: asymmetrically efficient decisions. These are moves that immediately solve a problem—or multiple problems—at once.

Here's an example. If you're posting content on one platform and you want more reach, you could spend months building new audiences from scratch. Or you could just repost the same content on every other platform. Zero additional work. Outsized return. That's asymmetrically efficient.

Another one: you're repeating the same pitch on four or five sales calls every day. It's exhausting. The asymmetrically efficient move is to record a VSL that explains everything, send it before every call, and turn the call itself into an order-taking conversation. You do the work once. It runs forever.

Or: you're stressed because you keep hitting problems you've never solved before. The asymmetrically efficient solution is to just be around people who've already solved them. A room full of operators who've been where you are right now is worth more than months of figuring things out alone.

The Summary

Results are guaranteed. Timing is not. Your job is to compress the time between now and the result by:

• Testing instances fast — more combinations, more chances

• Building agency — figure things out instead of stopping

• Making asymmetrically efficient decisions — solve problems immediately, not gradually
