What Offers Are Actually Working in 2024 (Sell These to Make More Money)

I'm going to be straight with you: the way most agency owners are trying to sell right now is costing them clients. I'm Daniel Fazio, co-founder of Client Ascension and List Kit. In June, we collected just under $600K in cash — not contract value, actual money in the bank. Everything I'm sharing here is about selling to cold traffic — people who have never heard of you. That's the only game worth playing if you want to scale.

Here's what's actually working right now across three areas: offer structure, services people are buying, and pricing.

1. Offer Structure: Date Before You Ask to Marry

The single biggest shift working right now is the low-ticket, low-commitment offer.

Here's a simple example. You're an e-commerce email marketer. One version of you is pitching cold prospects on $3,000/month retainers. Another version offers to build out their welcome flow for $1,000 — satisfaction guaranteed or you'll rewrite it. The second version wins every time right now, and it's not close.

People think forcing someone onto a $3,000/month contract means recurring revenue. It doesn't. Anyone can just stop paying, and unless you have $10K to sue them, you're not getting a cent. You don't want to force people onto subscriptions. You want them to want to be there — and the way you get there is by asking them to dinner before you propose.

I got a cold email recently from a guy who'd already built an animated ad for List Kit and just sent it to me. Great strategy. But when I asked about pricing, he said: one creative for $1,800, or unlimited for $3,000/month. I told him he was going to lose the business. I didn't want to subscribe before I even knew if his ads would perform. I wanted to buy a test set — 10 ads, maybe two concepts with five hooks each. He wouldn't budge. That's a broken offer.

Also: just say the price. Telling cold prospects they need to "hop on a call" to get pricing is killing your conversions. I told one of my clients — a Twitter ghostwriter — to put 140 tweets/month for $1,500 — cancel anytime right in his bio. That single change started printing leads.

Buyers are 10,000x more likely to continue purchasing than leads. Get someone to pay you anything. Even $50. Once someone's a buyer, selling them a $2,000/month retainer becomes exponentially easier.

2. Services People Are Actually Buying

Lead Generation Agencies

This is still the best-performing offer out there. When people are tight on money, they still want to make more of it — which is exactly what lead gen promises. Cold email, cold DMs, LinkedIn outreach, paid ads — the channel doesn't matter. You're in the business of delivering leads, not cold email. Learn ads if you don't know them. Your clients don't care how you generate leads.

E-Commerce Email Marketing

Klaviyo and email marketing for e-commerce brands is still moving — but only if you lead with a low-commitment setup offer. A flow build-out for $1,000 beats a $3,000/month pitch to cold traffic every time right now.

Ad Creatives

I personally buy a lot of static ad creatives — I've paid $75 per image. If you're design-oriented, this is one of the easiest services to sell right now. Sell a pack of 10 statics for $500–$750, no subscription required. Let them buy. Get them results. Then offer a retainer. Don't force it.

Ghostwriting (Low-Priced)

Ghostwriting works — but at $1,500/month or less. Anyone telling you they're selling it for $4,000–$5,000/month either has one or two clients who churned after 30 days, or they're lying. Writing 140 tweets takes maybe four or five hours. That's $300/hour at $1,500/month. That's a great rate. Stop convincing yourself your tweets are closing six-figure deals for clients — they're not. Their existing audience is. Price it correctly and you'll sign four times as many clients and keep them far longer.

Offshore Talent Placement

This one is absolutely tearing right now. Helping businesses hire a full-time, college-educated, fluent English speaker from Ukraine, Lebanon, or the Philippines for around $1,500/month — no payroll taxes, payable by credit card — is exactly what the market wants. It's still recruiting, but it's the cheap version. And that's precisely why it's winning.

3. Pricing and Demand: You're Not in 2021 Anymore

Here's the macro context nobody wants to hear. When the Fed tripled the money supply, everyone had more cash before inflation hit. In 2021, "raise your prices" was genuinely good advice because people were flush. PPP loans, low rent, cheap everything — buyers weren't blinking at $5K/month retainers.

That economy is gone.

People are more careful with every dollar now. They're not cutting spending entirely — they're cutting discretionary spending. Your job is to stop selling filet mignon and start selling something they'll actually buy today. The agencies lowering prices and scope right now are the ones making a killing. Everyone still swinging for $5K/month cold is struggling to close anything.

Also understand demand. I talked to a lead gen agency owner who was working with a recruiting client and couldn't figure out why nothing was converting. The answer: nobody is hiring right now. Companies are laying people off. No amount of low-ticket offers or clever positioning fixes zero demand. If you run a lead gen agency, don't take recruiting clients right now. The supply of recruiting businesses exploded in 2021 right as hiring demand cratered — it's a brutal market.

The Bottom Line

Low commitment. Low price. Say the price upfront. Get buyers first, retainers second. Sell services people actually need in this economy — lead gen, email, ad creatives, ghostwriting, offshore placement.

Do that, and this market is very workable. Keep trying to force $5K/month subscriptions on cold traffic, and you'll stay stuck.
