3 Simple AI Business Models to Make Money Fast (Start for $30)

A few days ago, I got an email from a subscriber living in a homeless shelter in Key West. He makes $40 an hour as a server, can't afford a high-ticket program yet, and asked me one question: What would you do if you were me?

I love this. This guy has more work ethic and commitment than 95% of the people watching my channel — and he's homeless. He's going to end up more successful than most of you. Let that sink in.

So I wrote him back with a complete game plan — an AI business he can start for $30, no team, no experience, no fancy tools. This post shares that exact plan, plus two other simple AI business models you can launch right now if you need cash fast.

Quick disclaimer: these won't make you $50K/month. But they will get you to $2K–$4K/month in 30–60 days if you actually do the work.

Two Types of AI Businesses

Before the models, understand this distinction.

Type 1 — Simple, low-complexity models. Easy to start, $30 to launch, money in 30 days. Cap out around $3K–$10K/month. Hard to sell because they're saturated, but easy to fulfill once you have a client.

Type 2 — Complex, high-LTV models. More setup, more systems, more sophistication. Can scale to $20K–$100K/month.

The smart play: start with Type 1 to get cash flow and stability, then transition to Type 2 to scale. Don't try to build a $50K/month business when you're starting from zero.

Model 1: AI Ghostwriting for B2B Founders on LinkedIn

This is probably the simplest AI business model I know.

Step 1: Find big B2B influencers on LinkedIn. Look for accounts with 10K+ followers in any industry — SaaS, consulting, coaching, agencies. Doesn't matter.

Step 2: Copy their best-performing posts. Go through their last 50–100 posts and paste them into a Google Doc. Do this for 10–20 influencers. This is your AI training material.

Step 3: Find potential clients. Go back to those influencers' posts and look at who's engaging — liking, commenting, sharing. These are your prospects. They're B2B founders who already care about LinkedIn content.

Step 4: Reach out manually. Send a DM: "Hey [name], I noticed you've been engaging with [influencer]'s content. I help B2B founders create high-performing LinkedIn posts. Would you be open to me writing three free posts for you to see if we're a good fit?"

Step 5: Write the free posts using ChatGPT. Upload your training material, tell ChatGPT to analyze what makes these posts work, then write three posts tailored to the client's business and audience. Review, edit, send.

Step 6: Get them on a call. If they like the posts, pitch: "I'll write five posts per week for $500–$1,000/month. I'll interview you for one hour and use AI to create personalized content every week."

Step 7: Deliver the service. Record a 1-hour interview on Zoom, transcribe it, paste the transcript into ChatGPT alongside your example posts, and generate the week's content. Review and edit — AI does 80–90% of the work.

Economics: ChatGPT ($20/mo) + Canva ($10/mo) = $30/month total. Five clients at $750/month = $3,750/month. Time investment: 15–20 hours/week.

Model 2: AI Email Copywriting

Same concept, different format. Instead of LinkedIn posts, you're writing email sequences and broadcast campaigns.

Who needs this? Every business that collects emails — e-commerce stores, coaches, SaaS companies, course creators, professional services. Basically everyone transacting online.

How to find clients: Sign up for their email lists. If their emails are bad (most are), reach out: "Hey [name], I'm on your email list. I just wrote three emails you can send this week — an AI agent did deep research on your target market to inform these. Here's the Google Doc."

How to deliver: Get 20–100 sales call recordings or have AI research the client's target market for pain points. Upload everything to ChatGPT with high-performing email examples. Generate sequences, review, edit, deliver.

Economics: Same $30/month cost. Four to five clients at $750–$1,500/month = $3,000–$7,500/month. Time investment: 15–20 hours/week.

Model 3: Teaching AI to Businesses

This one surprises people, but the demand is massive right now.

What you're selling: "I'll teach your team how to use AI to save 10–20 hours per week — $1,000–$2,000 one-time or $500/month retainer."

This is a done-with-you version of the previous models. Instead of doing the work for clients, you're showing them how to do it themselves. Think of it like the early internet era — everyone wanted to pay someone to teach them how to use it. Same thing is happening with AI right now.

What you teach: How to use ChatGPT for emails, proposals, and reports. How to use AI for research, content creation, customer service, and copywriting.

How to find clients: Target small businesses with 10–50 employees. Sample pitch: "I can show you how to write all your LinkedIn content using AI — without it sounding like AI — so you can post 2–4x more and book more calls." That one phrase, "without sounding like AI," kills the #1 objection before they even raise it. A single line like that can 2–3x your response rates.
