How to Make $100,000/Month in 24 Months (Step-by-Step)

My name is Daniel Fazio. I'm the co-founder of Client Ascension and ListKit, and we're currently doing $500,000 per month in revenue with 1,000+ B2B clients. This is the simplest path I know to $100K/month in 24 months — starting from zero.

First, a Real Caveat

You are not hitting $100K/month in 12 months as a beginner. It took me 2.5 years from complete zero, and even that is abnormal. You need to go through what I call the two-year "figuring it out" phase — where you think you're smart, realize you're not, and then slowly build real skills. That's the cycle. Accept it and move forward.

The Core Model

You're going to sell a service, not a product. Products require money to create. Services require time — and you have more time than money right now.

You learn a skill, then rent that skill out to other businesses. This is B2B. You get paid based on your ability to produce quantifiable results, not based on hours worked. The better you get at delivering results, the more money you make.

Step 1: Skill Acquisition

Learn how to make money for a business. Every valuable skill falls into one of three categories:

  • Traffic generation — cold email, Facebook/Google ads, SEO, content marketing, influencer marketing, cold calling

  • Traffic conversion — copywriting, sales funnel creation, email marketing, CRO, webinars

  • Backend/operations — automations, CRM management, software development, accounting

Traffic generation is the easiest to sign clients for because you're generating new business they wouldn't have otherwise gotten. Backend has the highest client lifetime value, but it's harder to sell.

How do you get minimally viably competent? Watch 100 hours of YouTube content on the skill. Buy 10 books and actually read them. Buy a couple of courses and finish them. That's what I did. It works.

Step 2: Free or Performance-Based Work

This step is non-negotiable, and most beginners try to skip it. Don't.

When you're a beginner, you are a liability, not an opportunity. Nobody is paying you $3,000–$5,000/month when they don't trust that they'll get their money back. The only way to sign your first clients is to work for free or on 100% performance — meaning the client takes zero financial risk.

This is why it works: value = (dream outcome × likelihood of success) ÷ (time × effort/cost). If you make the cost zero, the perceived value goes way up. That's how you compensate for having no track record.

Do this for your first one to three clients. Get case studies. It took me about three months of free work. Just follow directions.

Your case study needs: a real person on camera, their business identified, and a specific quantifiable result with actual numbers.

Step 3: Build a Direct-Response Offer

Nobody buys "email marketing." They buy the result email marketing produces. Frame everything around outcomes, not deliverables.

A strong offer has four components:

  1. A quantifiable promised result — specific, measurable, tied to revenue or growth

  2. A specific time period — how fast can you get it?

  3. A risk reversal — what happens if you don't deliver? Give them a guarantee.

  4. Evidence — case studies showing you've done it before

Examples that work:

  • "I guarantee I can make your e-commerce brand an additional $30,000/month in revenue within 60 days — you only pay after it happens."

  • "I will book your company 10–30 qualified sales meetings per month. You only pay for meetings that show up."

If you don't have 30 years of reputation and hundreds of case studies, you have no choice but to use a direct-response offer like these. Slap a guarantee on it, work performance-based in the beginning, and your life gets exponentially easier.

Step 4: High-Volume Cold Outreach

Send 500 cold emails per day and 10–20 cold DMs per day until you hit $20,000–$30,000/month.

For cold email infrastructure: buy domains from Porkbun, spin up inboxes on Microsoft Outlook, get leads from a scraping tool, and use automated sending software. Keep it simple — ignore anyone selling you on custom infrastructure.

For cold email scripts, only four approaches actually work:

  1. Service-based lead magnet — do a piece of the service for free to demonstrate value

  2. Regular lead magnet or case study — give something useful, ask if they want to see results you've gotten

  3. Low-commitment offer — sell a small, cheap deliverable as an entry point

  4. Direct pitch — three sentences max, state your offer clearly, don't beat around the bush

Short is almost always better. Be direct. Everyone knows it's a pitch — just pitch.

Step 5: Asset Production

Do this simultaneously with cold outreach. You need:

  • A video sales letter on your website explaining your offer

  • YouTube tutorials SEO-optimized around your niche skill (film on Loom, no fancy editing needed)

  • An active LinkedIn and Twitter/X presence — minimum five posts per week

  • Case studies — constantly, forever, as many as possible

Put your face on video. If the idea of appearing on camera is enough to stop you from building a life-changing business, this path isn't for you. People buy from people. A faceless service business doesn't make money — full stop.

Step 6: Hiring and Systems

Don't try to outsource everything before you know how it works. You cannot train someone to do something you've never done. You can't afford an expert when you're broke.

Hire in this order: fulfillment first, then sales, then marketing.

Start hiring when you're at $10,000–$20,000/month, running at an 8/10 busyness level, and you know how to get results. Your first hire should be a VA ($6–$9/hour) handling repetitive tasks. Take the time you buy back and immediately reinvest it into lead generation and sales.

Once you're ~80% removed from fulfillment, bring on a commission-based sales closer (10–15% commission). This typically happens around $30,000–$50,000/month.

Step 7: Paid Traffic

Around month 8–18, when you're at $50,000–$80,000/month with strong margins and cash in the bank, it's time to buy traffic.

Start with a VSSL → book-a-call funnel: simple opt-in, a 5–10 minute video with your direct offer, email and call follow-ups. Target a $200 cost per qualified call. Call out your ideal customer directly in the ads — don't be clever, just be specific.

Once that's working, you can explore self-liquidating funnels with a low-ticket product ($7–$100) to acquire buyers you can upsell into your high-ticket service.

The Full Path, Compressed

  1. Acquire a skill — watch, read, learn

  2. Work free or performance-based — get 2–3 case studies

  3. Build a direct-response offer with a guarantee

  4. Cold email + cold DMs at high volume

  5. Produce assets — videos, case studies, social content

  6. Hire for fulfillment, then sales

  7. Scale with paid ads

That's it. Follow directions. Don't skip steps. The people who make it are the ones who do the boring, unglamorous work consistently for two years.
