How to Sell Higher Ticket Packages (The 3-Step Framework I Use to Close Premium Clients)

I hit my first $1 million month in December 2024. A significant chunk of that came from selling substantially higher ticket packages — not the low-ticket stuff that keeps most people stuck. I'm the co-founder of Client Ascension, a coaching and software company, and I've coached thousands of B2B business owners through this exact problem.

Here's what I see over and over: people start out charging low prices because that's all they can get. Then they try to raise prices and hit a wall. Either the prospects won't pay more, or they can't attract the kind of buyers who would pay more.

The fix comes down to three things: ROI calculators, case studies, and deliverables. Let me break each one down.

1. Use an ROI Calculator — Stop Dodging the Numbers

The only reason anyone is going to give you money is because they believe they'll make a return on that investment. That's it. That's the whole game.

But what do most service providers do? They avoid talking about numbers entirely. The internal justification sounds like: I can't promise the numbers, so I won't bring them up.

Here's what actually happens when you do that. The client goes home, opens a Google Sheet or just sits with it in their head, and projects the ROI themselves. And because that's human nature, they go with the most pessimistic outlook possible. The number they land on is negative. They think their way into not working with you — and you never even got a chance to make your case.

On one of our cold email offers, we literally pop up an ROI calculator on the page. We plug in send volume, response rates, close rates, and client LTV. Then we show the prospect exactly what a realistic outcome looks like — meetings booked, deals closed, revenue added. We say the numbers out loud.

If you're not doing this, ask yourself why. Most of the time it's a mindset issue. You don't believe you can get the client results, so you don't quote results. But here's the thing — every client you'll ever work with, in any industry, mostly can't close. That's not unique to your situation. It's universal. If you happen to get on a call with someone who can close and you're still dancing around the numbers, they'll detect your lack of confidence immediately. And they won't pay you.

Quote the numbers. Walk people through the math. That's step one.

2. Use Case Studies to Prove the Concept Works

After you've shown the potential ROI, the natural next question is: can this actually happen? That's where case studies come in.

I post client results constantly — people hitting 30K, 50K, 150K, even 500K a month. I share wins from my Slack channel regularly. This isn't bragging. It's doing the work of justifying the numbers I just showed in the calculator.

But here's what to do if you don't have a portfolio of killer case studies yet.

When you're selling any service, there are actually two sales happening simultaneously. First, you're selling the prospect on the concept — does cold email even work? Does content marketing even work? Second, you're selling them on you as the person to execute it.

Most people fail at the first sale without realizing it. If you don't have your own case studies yet, go find evidence that the concept itself works. Show a success story from someone else in the industry — not pretending you did it, be clear you didn't — but use it to demonstrate that the strategy produces real results. Then position yourself as the person who will execute that same strategy for them.

Sell the concept first. Then sell yourself as the vehicle.

3. List Every Deliverable Involved in Getting the Result

Once you've shown the potential outcome and proven it's achievable, the final step is walking the client through exactly what it takes to get there.

I use Gamma Docs for this — both as a video sales letter on my landing pages and as a sales deck on calls. I walk through the case study, show the evidence, explain the process step by step, and then list out every single deliverable involved: offer creation, funnel setup, ad scripts, video editing, email sequences, automation buildouts, SDR recruitment, campaign scaling, daily ad management — everything.

Then I say: I'm going to do all of that for you.

When a prospect sees the full scope — the result, the proof it's possible, and every step required to get there — the price makes sense. It's not sticker shock. It's logical.

I learned this the hard way early in my first agency. I got on a call, explained I did cold email, and the prospect kept asking "but what do I get?" I kept saying "cold email" like that answered it. He ended the call and told me I wasn't mature enough yet to understand the question. He was right. He wanted to know: how many leads, how many meetings, how many clients — and then show me proof it's possible, and tell me every step involved in making it happen.

That's the whole framework.

The Real Problem Is a Mindset Issue

If you can't sell higher ticket packages, you're missing one of these three things. And most of the time, it starts with the first one — you don't believe you can get results, so you don't quote big results, so you never attract clients who can pay for big results, so you never get the case studies that build your confidence. It's a cycle.

Decide you're the person who gets results. Start quoting substantially higher numbers. Build the ROI calculator, source the case studies, and list out every deliverable. That's how you stop undercharging and start closing the clients worth closing.
