How to Get 8x More Clients with 80% Less Effort for Your Agency or B2B Business

My business just crossed $500,000 per month in revenue — and we're trending toward $600K. That didn't happen by accident. About two months ago I made one specific change, and the growth rate immediately accelerated. Here's exactly what that change was and why it works.

Stop Doing Things "When You Feel Like It"

For a long time I was erratic. I'd make a YouTube video when I felt like it. Tweet when I felt like it. Launch new ads when I felt like it. And honestly, if you're maniacal enough, you can grind your way to $300–$400K/month that way over a long enough time horizon. But it's not efficient.

What changed everything was establishing bare minimums I'm not allowed to go below:

  • 40 tweets per week

  • 3 emails per week to my list

  • 1 YouTube video per week

  • 10 new ad creatives per week

  • 1–2 new VSL tests per month

Bare minimum means a floor, not a ceiling. The consistency of doing a low volume of action over an extended period beats sprinting volume in a short burst every single time. You cannot force-ram all your effort into three days and expect the same result. It doesn't work like that.

Don't Stack Responsibilities Until One System Is Maxed Out

There are only three ways to acquire clients: content marketing, paid ads, and cold outreach. That's it. And you should not be running all three simultaneously if you haven't maxed out the efficiency of at least one.

Here's the analogy. Say you're running cold email at 20 domains — roughly 600 emails a day. You're getting leads but you're not calling them back immediately, you're not responding within five minutes, and half of them are going cold. Then you decide it's time to "scale" and jump to 200 inboxes, expecting your meeting count to go from 10 to 100 per week.

What actually happens? You go from 10 meetings to maybe 15.

Why? You have a leak in your gas tank. You press the accelerator harder, the gas leaks faster, and you just keep buying more gas that immediately disappears. More volume doesn't fix a broken process — it amplifies the broken process.

Patch the leak first. That means calling your leads. When someone responds to a cold email, call them immediately — within five minutes. Contact them inside that window and the likelihood they actually book a meeting goes up dramatically. Start calling your leads and you'll book roughly twice as many meetings without changing anything else.

Fix the leak. Then scale.

Keep It Simple When You're Getting Started

If you're under $50K/month, your first few clients are the hardest you'll ever sign. Uncertainty is everywhere — how to run the sales call, how to set up the tech stack, how to deliver results. The way you minimize uncertainty is by keeping everything as simple as possible.

One landing page. One VSL. One clear value proposition. One marketing channel — cold email or cold DMs. That's it. Do not add complexity until your first system is running cleanly.

And stop being impatient. Sending 50 outreach messages a day is not hard. That's two hours of your time. The McDonald's manager down the street is working 45–50 hours a week physically on their feet for $15 an hour. You won't do two hours of outreach for yourself in a business you own? Grow up.

Stop Overcomplicating Everything

I had a guy on a coaching call who built a six-page document packed with AI jargon and custom software buzzwords for his accounts receivable collection service. I stopped him immediately.

His offer, stripped down: "You have money owed to you. We collect it. We only get paid when you get paid."

That's it. The six pages of noise are completely useless. The simpler your value proposition, the better it converts.

Same principle applies to testing cold email scripts. People ask me, "How do I test a new script?" You say something different. Change the angle. Change the result you're promising. Change the CTA. That's the entire testing framework. Change one variable, send it, and read what the market tells you back.

If people are saying they're not interested, reply and ask what they would be interested in. You'll get answers. And if prospects on sales calls tell you they can't afford your offer, ask them what they'd actually buy. You don't need permission to try things — just ask.

The Bottom Line

  1. Set bare minimums and never go below them. Consistency beats intensity every time.

  2. Don't stack new channels until your current one is fully optimized. Patch the leak before you step on the gas.

  3. Call your leads immediately. Within five minutes dramatically increases your booking rate.

  4. Keep it simple when starting out. One channel, one offer, one clear value prop.

  5. Stop overcomplicating your messaging. The simpler the pitch, the harder it converts.

None of this is complicated. The hard part is doing it consistently, without needing someone to hold your hand through every decision. Do that, and the growth follows.
